Thornhill, ON, WW/ Press/May 24, 2017 –Evelyn Koop, Director, with the Kalev Estienne Sports Club Gymnastics School, was selected for inclusion in the Top Professionals of North America by The Who’s Who Directories.
The accomplishments and achievements attained by Ms. Evelyn Koop in the field of Rythmic Gymnastics Development Services with the Kalev Estienne Sports Club Gymnastics School warrants inclusion into The Top Professional of North America. Rhythmic gymnastics was first brought to Canada by Evelyn Koop, who is known as the “godmother” of the sport in her country. The sport consists of exercises of movement, with hand apparatus such as ball, hoop, ribbon, rope, and clubs. Kalev Estienne provides high performance, Olympic and international development and they celebrated their sixtieth year in Rhythmic Gymnastics in 2011. Ms. Koop was honored by the Canadian Gymnastics Federation by naming the meet, the Koop Cup an international invitational competition, that she began in 1991, the “ FIG Koop Cup”. Mrs. Koop is an Honorary Member of World Rhythmic Gymnastics Technically Committee of FIG, the Estonian Sports Club, Kalev, as a gymnast and coach, the Founder of the Maple Leaf International Meet, the creator of the Continents Competition, and a Member of the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee of FIG.
