Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Harry and Rose Videll, he built his future on a strong academic foundation and a clear sense of direction. He began his studies at the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor of Education before choosing a path in medicine. He went on to receive his doctorate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1976. That decision marked the beginning of a career defined by hard work, growth, and a lasting impact on patients and institutions alike.

Dr. Videll’s medical training reflected both excellence and determination. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Atlantic City Medical Center in New Jersey, where he served as chief resident and demonstrated leadership early in his career. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey. His additional research fellowship in nuclear cardiology showed a commitment to deepening his knowledge and expanding the tools available for better patient care. His path makes it clear that mastery is never accidental. It is earned through years of focus and steady effort.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Videll has dedicated his professional life to helping others through some of their most critical health challenges. His work across major medical centers and healthcare organizations reflects both clinical talent and administrative strength. From directing employee health services at Deborah Heart and Lung Center to serving in leadership roles at the Pritikin Longevity Center, Physician Care Professional Corporation, Towanda Memorial Hospital, North Philadelphia Health Systems, and Girard Medical Center, he consistently accepted positions of trust and responsibility. He did more than hold titles. He brought vision, order, and compassion to every role.

His influence extended beyond hospital walls. Dr. Videll also served as a medical director for the American Cancer Society and as a state peer reviewer for the Keystone Peer Review Organization. These roles speak to the confidence others placed in his judgment and the value of his voice within the broader medical community. His career has never been limited to personal advancement. Instead, it has reflected a belief that medicine is at its best when knowledge, ethics, and service come together.

Alongside his achievements in healthcare, Dr. Videll built an impressive record of military service. He devoted 13 years to the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His service included overseas deployments and the important role of Deputy Commander of the 48th Combat Support Hospital in Kuwait. In military life, as in medicine, he answered difficult calls with courage and resolve. His decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Reserve Component Medal, reflect not only duty fulfilled but duty performed with distinction.Jared S.
